Since moving to Newark, Delaware, my husband and I have discovered the craft of pizza. Due to the East Coast influence, most of the pizza shops in the area are New York style and have pizzas under a "white pie" category. Being from the midwest, I hadn't really heard the commonality of a white pizza which I found out merely meant that there was no tomato sauce. I was a big fan of this since marinara and tomato-based sauces weren't always my favorite. Ian was infatuated with this little shop because of its presence as a "nano-brewery," only containing a one and a half barrel of beer for brewing! The pizza we decided upon was the "Verdure" white pie. It consisted of mozzarella, ricotta cheese, spinach, and plum tomatoes. We ate an entire large pizza just between the two of us. We can't wait to go here again to imbibe their very craft beer and amazing food with friends.
