About Me
I appreciate the nice things in life and the pursuit of meeting new people! Born in Texas, raised in Indiana, and living in Delaware. Proud alumnus of Purdue University and current graduate student at the University of Delaware, I'm just a young and married, black labrador-owning, twenty-something-year-old girl looking forward to the great things life has in store for me. Growing up in an area that could be considered the epitome of suburbia, I was somehow able to defy becoming a close-minded, stereotypical Midwesterner. Perhaps due to the fact that my family is beautifully unique, in which both of my parents are deaf, my mother was an orphan adopted from South Korea at the age of fourteen, and I have two younger brothers who are twins that serve in the Navy in spec ops. Blogging came about as a way to let my friends and family know of my travels as I started an intense summer of internships. Now my ramblings have evolved into an outlet to connect with a network of unique and diverse people, in hopes to give something back. Find the good in everything. There is always an opportunity to learn! |
What is a "Mosaic Lifestyle?"
I have always admired the idea of the Renaissance man or woman. Personally, maintaining interests in various subjects, I attempted to become a "jack of all trades," even though it resulted in me being a "master of none." We aren't meant to be perfect, but we should hope to be the best version of ourselves. I believe God put people on this planet so that we could continue to grow and love the goodness of humanity as to manifest glory. Creation is too vast for us to be content with our comfort zones and so we must attempt to reach the spectrum of life in all areas. Therefore, the result lies in the mosaic lifestyle concept. Mosaics are made of numerous variations of material, called tesserae, that come together to create a big picture. These pieces must work in harmony to produce something beautiful. So gather your tesserae of physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and make something wonderful. |
