Can one be any more American on the fourth of July than visiting the United States Naval Academy? A friend of a friend decided to allow us to tag along and we came upon some beautiful gems that were found within the depths of the campus. Annapolis is a beautiful city as it is and their main street is always full of life and exciting shops and restaurants. The docks and arbors closeby give you an old time feel where history seems to never have quite faded away from the area. The most striking feature that we stumbled upon when we arrived at the naval academy was the interior of the Chaplain's center, only to be followed into the basement where a gorgeous, beautifully-stoned room held the crypt of the historical John Paul Jones. Even if you haven't heard of him, although he's an incredibly important figure, the architecture alone is a great reason to visit the beautiful city of Annapolis and the brilliant campus of the US Naval Academy.
